Mission  

The mission of the Children's Safety Village is to nurture safety and to eliminate preventable injuries and fatalities through education during children's formative years in a creative, fun and interactive environment.

Purpose

The purpose of the Children's Safety Village of Windsor and Essex County, (CSV), is to reduce the number of injuries and fatalities among our children; foster positive lifetime relationships between children and emergency services personnel by establishing and operating a safety teaching facility in the community of Windsor-Essex for school aged children.

Commitment to Education

Our curriculum is developed to support and work in conjunction with the Ontario School Curriculum. Our programs supporting educator's efforts are innovative and share information with children and families. Children's Safety Village fills a much needed void in the safety education process. Educational research indicates that interactive programming is much more effective than lectures. The village has added a new dimension to safety education.
